Today’s Challenge video features Stephen Baldwin. (here)

Stephen’s is a pretty simple testimony that is probably pretty similar to a lot of people. A person can be living under their own power, they might even feel like they’re doing pretty good, and then God puts someone in place that changes things. God uses that someone to plant a tiny seed that grows into something life changing. Following Christ’s plan leads the person to eventually be used of God themselves, to plant seeds of faith in others lives.

Neat stuff for a pretty basic testimony.

Iamsecond missed this…hehe… Steven forgot the “give unto Ceasar what is Ceasar’s, give unto God what is God’s” lesson. Hmmm.

I love the boldness of the housekeeper, and the fact that she wasn’t the least bit intimated by telling him exactly why she believed she was there. I feel like sometimes a lot of us are walking around with blinders on, oblivious to the purpose of our life and getting caught up in trivial/superficial things. Sometimes God sends someone into our life that helps take those blinders off and reveals to us the hollowness of our lives without him. And like Terry said, it’s the ripple effect, that one person had the faith to listen to God, and maybe the person they reached out to will now reach another, so on and so forth.

I like your point about the blinders Noah. It’s easy sometimes to get caught up in work, or hobbies and forget what our true purpose is.

Especially in our American culture people find identity in the job more than they do in God. We’re definitely blessed to have a collection of guys with good priorities. It’s nice to talk to you all about work, and have people that understand that annual salary isn’t my primary motivation.

Def need to strive to be half as bold as that housekeeper. What an impact. And Ill second Terrys comment “We’re definitely blessed to have a collection of guys with good priorities. It’s nice to talk to you all about work, and have people that understand that annual salary isn’t my primary motivation.”
